Now, at age 36, I have found myself surrounded (in-person and digitally) by the most inspirational people. So many incredible people pushing their boundaries and doing everything they can to help others along the way. On a daily basis I see one of my friends and family taking calculated risks to achieve greatness. They inspire me constantly and give me the motivation to keep going after my goals and dreams.
The only words of wisdom I can give are to listen to advice, but make your own decisions. People are quick to say that something is dangerous, or impossible, if they don’t understand it. You know what is right for you and another’s lack of experience does not make them an expert in your life decisions. This can sometimes be a difficult hurdle if one of your closest and most trustworthy friends is the naysayer. I have run into this quite a few times in my life and it has held me back on occasion. I am now realizing that if I take the time to assess the risks, evaluate my readiness, and be true to who I am, I can achieve great things.
